Addie Update

Addie is 16 months old, she is so active and so much fun right now. She is constantly walking and finding trouble! She bables all the time, singing songs, and as Tyler would say "chewing us out". Here are some of the words she knows:
Book = She loves to read so we hear this one alot
Book = Can also mean she wants her binky
Bum = When she want to sit on something
Button or sometimes just Butt = I want to see you belly button
Gack = I want a cracker
Ba Ba = she uses this for most drinks but she often likes to drink out of our sports water bottles
Boll = Ball
Apple = This works for round objects that don't qualify as bolls
Nana = Banana
Beep = We like to beep noses
Ta Da = She often throws her arms up and yells Ta Da!

The Holidays

Along with all this walking Addie's been growing teeth like crazy. Her bottom two came in quite awhile ago then there was a few months with no new teeth. It was over Thanksgiving that the top two finally broke through and just before Christmas the next two on top started coming in. So we're up to six. I am really excited for her teeth because she seems like she's ready to chew on her food and she's getting a bit tired of baby food mush.
One of my favorite things Addie is starting to do is rub noses. Tyler's been teaching her and now she just love to do it. It's much better than her eye poking!
Okay, I know most of you just want to read about Addie's new tricks but here's a little bit about us. Tyler is half way through his 3rd year of Medical School and the U. He is working crazy hours at the hospitals as he move through each of his rotations. He is learning a lot and really like to get involved with the surgeries. Just this past week he was able to help with 4 C-sections. He is also working on some research projects under the tutelage of an Ortho Surgeon, and will be attending the ORS conference to present their findings.
I am still working at URS, however, I have cut my hours back to 32 so I could spend more time with Addie. I have just completed an intensive Project Management Certification program through my work, and can now take on more responsibility on the management side of the projects I am working on. Hopefully, more responsibility won't equate to more stress!
Neither Tyler or I have been able to keep up on our training, we get an occasional run in about every other month, so it doesn't look like we'll be signing up for any marathons this year. It will be nice once the snow melts and the sun is up a little longer and we can start taking Addie out in the Chariot for runs and bike rides. For now we'll keep working on our winter coats to keep us warm up here in PC.
